For EventCAT Conference to work reliably, especially in a venue with no stable 4G/5G signal and where hundreds of attendees may need to scan a QR code and access the subtitle link, you will need to meet the following minimum internet and Wi-Fi setup requirements:
Internet Speed & Connectivity
For the host laptop (used to capture the speaker’s voice):Connection Type: Ethernet cable (Cat6 or higher)
Speed Support: Up to 10 Gbps (within 55 meters) or 1 Gbps (within 100 meters)
For participants (accessing translation via QR code link):
Required Internet Speed: At least 500 Mbps (guaranteed download/upload)
Wi-Fi Equipment Setup
Use multiple high-performance Wi-Fi routers capable of handling high concurrent usage
Each router should be dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz)
Place 5 to 10 routers throughout the venue, depending on the size
Adjust channel settings to minimize signal overlap between routers
Network Configuration Tips
Connect all Wi-Fi routers via a wired backbone network (not wirelessly)
If possible, use the same SSID and password across all routers
This allows participants to stay connected even while moving around the venue
If Wi-Fi is the only source of internet (due to a weak 4G/5G signal), ensuring stable speed and coverage is essential for uninterrupted subtitle access.
This setup ensures that EventCAT Conference runs smoothly with reliable translation access for all attendees, regardless of the venue size. Let me know if you'd like to refine this further!
