Absolutely. EventCAT OnlineMeeting now gives you the ability to customize the flow of subtitles, helping your audience better absorb content during live interpretation.
Choosing where new subtitles appear, either at the top or bottom of the subtitle panel, can significantly affect how naturally participants follow along, especially in fast-paced or multilingual conversations. For example, displaying new lines at the top can draw attention to the most recent speech, while placing them at the bottom may feel more familiar, like a messaging app.
How to configure subtitle position:
In the OnlineMeeting preview screen, open the Settings menu.
Find the section labeled New Sentence Insertion.
Select your preferred layout:
Top of the panel – shows new subtitles at the top, pushing older text downward.
Bottom of the panel – adds new subtitles at the bottom, scrolling upward.
This subtle adjustment helps improve readability and gives you more control over how interpretation is presented in real time.
