If you're using EventCAT for online meetings, you might be unsure how translation time is tracked.

How does the 20-minute free trial work?
What happens when the trial ends?

Why this happens
EventCAT OnlineMeeting uses a time-based system. You get:
A free 20-minute trial to test the service
A paid plan where unused time rolls over
A paid plan where you get unlimited translation during the subscription period.
However, translation doesn’t automatically continue after the trial — you need to manually switch to your paid time.
Solution: How to use your translation time
Method 1: Starting with the free 20-minute Trial
Start your meeting and use the free 20-minute trial.
When the trial ends, translation will stop automatically
To continue, go to your settings and manually switch to your paid time.
Note: The system does not switch automatically from trial to paid balance
Method 2: Choose a prepaid Plan (and saving unused minutes)Purchase translation time for your account
Start your meeting and turn on translation when needed.
Any unused time is saved - you can use it in your next meeting.
For example, if you buy 2 hours and use 1 hour and 30 minutes, you’ll have 30 minutes left for later. If you use less than 10 hours of translation time per month, this plan may be a better fit.
Method 3: Use the Subscription Plan (Unlimited time)
Choose a monthly or yearly subscription for unlimited real-time translation.
No need to track or manage translation minutes during the subscription period.
Just log in with your subscribed account, translation starts automatically when your meeting begins.
Ideal for frequent meetings or when you want a hassle-free experience.

Keep an eye on your usage so you don’t run out mid-meeting.
Need more time often? Consider buying extra hours in advance
Want a smoother experience? Set up the auto-upgrade options for uninterrupted translation.
