Problem Summary & Description
By default, EventCAT supports up to five languages per session. If you’re on the free plan, you’re limited to choosing only five from the available list. When trying to add a sixth language, it won’t appear unless you remove another language or upgrade your plan.
Why This Happens
Free plan limit: Free tier accounts are limited to a maximum of 5subtitle languages per meeting.
Performance & clarity: This limit ensures stable performance and maintain a clean, user-friendly interface.
Expandable with paid plan: Users on a paid plan can request to increase the number of subtitle languages. However, adding too many spoken languages may reduce translation quality. For best results, we recommend selecting only the languages that are truly necessary.
Solution: How to Enable More Than 5 Languages
Option 1 – Replace a language (Free Plan)
Manually remove one of your current five selected languages and replace it with a new one.
Option 2 – Request to enable more languages (Paid plans only)
If you're on a paid plan and need more than five subtitle languages:
Email us at contact@eventcat.com with the subject line:
- Increase Number of Languages
- Include the following in your message:
Your registered email address on EventCAT
The languages you’d like to enable (in text or as a file)
The date and time of your scheduled event (if applicable)
We’ll work with our engineering team to increase the subtitle language limit for your session.
