EventCAT is now fully integrated into Zoom, no switching windows, no browser needed, just smooth, real-time translations right where your meetings happen!
With this guide, you’ll see how easy it is to install the app, sign in, and get started. Imagine inviting the AI Interpreter and instantly seeing translations appear in your Zoom window, making your meetings faster, more inclusive, and way less stressful. Note: If you’ve already registered on our website (www.eventcat.com/en), you can configure your speaking and target languages, upload glossaries, and set your data deletion preferences in the Preferences tab. Once saved, these settings will automatically apply every time you log in via Zoom.
Add EventCAT to Zoom
- Open Zoom on your desktop.
. - Go to the Apps tab and click Add Apps
Search for EventCAT.
Click Get and then Add.
When prompted, click Allow.
Sign in
The EventCAT app will open inside Zoom.
Log in with your EventCAT credentials.
Set up your meeting
You can access EventCAT either from the Zoom Apps tab before joining a meeting or from the Apps panel inside an ongoing meeting. Once EventCAT is open, you can:
Paste your Zoom meeting link.
Select speaking and target languages.
Choose the glossaries you want to apply.
Review your Data Deletion Policy.
Manage or upgrade your plan if needed.
Note: If you’re not the host, please copy and paste the link manually into the Paste Your Meeting URL field, as the link is only applied by default on the host’s side.
This allows you to start using EventCAT before your meeting begins or while it’s already in progress, whichever is more convenient.
Start interpretation
Click Invite AI Interpreter and Approve
EventCAT will join your Zoom meeting as an AI assistant.
Live translations will appear directly in the right-hand panel.
End the meeting
Click End meeting for all in Zoom.
The EventCAT bot will automatically leave the session.
Optional: Remove the bot manually before ending the meeting
Open the Zoom chat and click the link that EventCAT automatically shares,
or go to the Apps panel in the main Zoom window and select EventCAT.A browser window will open with real-time transcripts.
Click Enable Bot Exit (or Allow bot to leave) to remove the bot while continuing your meeting.
